About Us
Surgical Associates, Inc. is comprised of eight transplant trained surgeons and are the primary surgeons for kidney, liver and pancreas transplants in Hawaii. All surgeons are also trained and Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and hold the highest honors as Fellows of the American College of Surgeons.

In 1991, Surgical Associates, Inc. was started by Dr. Livingston Wong to create a surgical group that would fulfill the needs of the patients in the State of Hawaii in the specialties of General Surgery and Transplantation. With just himself, partner Dr. Fong-Liang Fan and a vision, Dr. Wong assembled a team of highly skilled and well trained surgeons that have brought the transplant program in Hawaii to new heights.
